Final Itinerary

Below is our final itinerary:

May 10 (Mon) - Pittsburgh/Beijing
Your journey begins as you board an international flight bound for China.

May 11 (Tue) – Beijing
Arrive in Beijing at 8:10pm via NH955. Your arrival transfer will be arranged by Beijing Jiaotong University.

May 12-15 - Beijing
Study aboard program with Beijing Jiaotong University

May 15 (Sat) – Beijing/Xian by overnight train
Depart Beijing at 9:24pm, transfer provided by Beijing Jiaotong University.
Train: Z19-Soft sleeper, 4 berth in one compartment (9:30pm/8:36am)
Our ground agent will send train tickets to Jiaotong University in China

May 16 (Sun) – Xian (B/L/D)
The train arrives in Xian at 8:25am. Upon arrival you are met and transfer to your hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon, visit the landmark Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and ride bikes on top of the Ming-era City Gate.

May 17 (Mon) – Xian (B/L/SD)
Tour one of the world’s most incredible sights, burial grounds of Emperor Qin Shi Huang Di, which is guarded by thousands of life-sized terra-cotta warriors. Enjoy the Tang Dynasty Dinner and Show tonight.

May 18 (Tue) – Xian (B/L/D)
Visit the Provincial Museum in the morning. Enjoy some free time at the Muslin Bazaar Market.

May 19 (Wed) - Xian/Chengdu (B/L/D)
Fly to Chengdu in the early afternoon. If time permits, enjoy the city tour including Hermitage of celebrated Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu, 1000-year-old Diving Light Monastery. Tonight enjoy the face changing show performance.

May 20 (Thu) - Chengdu/Mt. Leshan/Chengdu(B/L/SD)
Enjoy the day excursion to Mt. Leshan to see the Giant Buddha with cruise. Enjoy the special local cuisine.

May 21 (Fri) – Chengdu/Tunxi (Huangshan) (B/L/D)
Visit the panda base in the morning. Fly to Tunxi, upon arrival, transfer to your hotel at the foot of the mountain

May 22 (Sat) – Tunxi/Huangshan by bus (B/L/D)
In the morning visit the Old Street of Tunxi, later on, a private vehicle with the local guide will take you to the foot of Yellow Mountain, also known as Mount Huangshan, located in the southern part of Anhui Province. This is undoubtedly China's most celebrated mountain for all its grandeur and beauty. The three major scenic areas, all rising above 1,800 meters are Lotus, Brightness Apex and Celestial Capital. In 1990, UNESCO Heritage Committee declared it a World Natural and Cultural Heritage. You will take the cable car up to the mountain and walk to your hotel.

In the afternoon, you will experience the beauty of the mountain by visiting the Xihai area with your local guide.

Note: You may leave your heavy luggage at Tian Du Hotel in Tunxi and bring a light baggage for your overnight stay on top of Mt. Huangshan

May 23 (Sun) - Huangshan/Shanghai by air (B/L/D)
See the sun rise early in the morning (subject to weather condition). Return to the hotel for breakfast. Then check out and proceed to the cable car station for the down ride and return to Tunxi. After lunch, tour the old town of Hongchun. Fly to Shanghai, upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel

May 24 (Mon) Shanghai (B/L/D)
Tour Shanghai's premier sights: the traditional Yu Garden, waterfront Bund, the Oriental Pearl Tower. Enjoy the Huangpu River cruise.

May 25 (Tue) Shanghai (B/D)
Visit World Expo. After that you will be transferred to Xianqingfang Restaurant for a special dinner. Dinner will be served at 7:30pm at Xianqingfang Yong'an Restaurant:

May 26 (Wed) Shanghai/Tokyo (B)
You are transferred to airport for flight to Tokyo departing at 10:15am via NH922. Upon arrival at Tokyo, you are met and transferred to your hotel.

Flight: NH922 (10:15am/2:15pm)

May 27 (Thu) Tokyo (B)
Study aboard program with Rikkyo University.

May 28 (Fri) Tokyo (B/L)
8:30am enjoy a full day sightseeing of Tokyo and Kamakura by coach, visiting Hase Kannon Temple and Kotokuin Temple. Lunch will be at local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Tokyo Tower, Ueno Park, Imperial Palace Plaza, return to hotel around 6:30pm.

May 29 (Sat) Tokyo (B/L/SD)
8:00am enjoy a full day tour to Mt. Fuji-Hakone by chartered coach. The premier sights include Mt.Fuji’s Visitor Center, Fifth Station of Mt. Fuji, after Japanese style lunch, drive to Hakone and take a boat ride at lake Ashi, visit Komagatake Ropeway. You will return back to hotel by chartered coach around 6:30pm. Special dinner will be served at 8:00pm. Will advise location of the restaurant later on.

May 30 (Sun) Tokyo to Pittsburgh
7:00am depart Tokyo at 10:45am via NH12 via Chicago to Pittsburgh
You will be transferred to Narita Int’l Airport for your home flight. The end of the trip.
